Beautiful events, with a lighter footprint
Our commitments, our partners, and the practical choices that reduce the impact of your day.
As event organisers we know how to create unforgettable experiences and how to inspire people. We know how to get things done in challenging circumstances and we are accomplished at communicating with audiences.
In this age of carbon overloads and climate emergency, every effort is important, and we all need to be part of the solution. Below are the initiatives, partnerships and practical tips we use to reduce the impact of an event.
Our conscientious team can help you make the right decisions for your event, from battery generators to power it, to locally sourced food, to carbon-offsetting schemes that plant a tree for each of your guests.
It is well within our reach to turn our industry into an exemplar of environmental responsibility. We can make a vital and significant contribution to a future that we want our children to inherit.

Offset the carbon cost of your event
Carbon offsetting means putting funds towards organisations that lower or reduce carbon emissions, for example reforestation projects or sustainable energy. Once that offsetting results in net zero carbon dioxide emissions, it is referred to as carbon neutral.
Clean transport for goods vehicles is still some years away, and there is no practical alternative to diesel trucks and vans for delivering our equipment. Calculating that carbon and investing in clean energy gives us a way to offset an unavoidable footprint.
Delivering our tents is a strategic operation. Multiple vehicles are usually needed, each loaded to capacity and carefully packed and balanced, and all of them are fitted with Vortex exhaust systems to improve fuel consumption.
We can help you offset that footprint, and calculate the wider impact of the other elements of your day.

A wedding forest, in partnership with Green Earth Appeal
Planting trees is the most immediate way to offset a footprint. The emissions created by your guests, the food miles, the wine and the delivery of the structure all add up.
A carbon calculator will tell you your guests' footprint according to how they travel. Instead of a gift list, you and your guests can donate to plant a grove of trees, creating a wedding forest that keeps enriching the planet for years after the day.
We have partnered with Green Earth Appeal, an initiative that plants trees in tropical climates alongside the tools, education and infrastructure that give aid-reliant communities sustainable agroforestry businesses. They fight unemployment and hunger by reforesting areas lost to fuel gathering and urban development.
Green Earth Appeal plant on behalf of each guest, enough fruit trees to offset the impact of each attendee, and every guest receives an individually verified certificate for the trees planted in their name.

Sourced locally, wherever we can
For both environmental and economic reasons we resource as much as possible locally, because we believe in supporting local businesses. Local suppliers know what is available and have more of a vested interest in your event.
Goods and services that travel less produce fewer emissions, and those local partnerships have a positive effect on the community, sometimes leaving a legacy that improves the whole area.

We only work with sustainably minded suppliers
We deal with hundreds of regular suppliers, from caterers to power suppliers, florists to wineries, and we have made the move to work only with businesses that operate in a sustainably minded way.
We know our suppliers' waste management plans and we know where they source their products. That visibility reassures us we are doing what we can to minimise negative impact. Suppliers with ethical and sustainable procurement policies have already done the due diligence that ensures everyone in the chain is treated fairly.
We strive to be part of the solution, and we hope you will join us.
What we measure at every event
Our live event policy sets out the areas we assess for each booking, so decisions get made early enough to matter.
- 01
Travel and transport
How guests, staff, suppliers and waste all move to and from site, and how that mileage can be reduced or shared.
- 02
Location and land use
Choosing venues with good transport access, and protecting the ground we build on.
- 03
Waste and recycling
Reducing what is brought on site in the first place, then separating and recycling what is left.
- 04
Local resourcing
Suppliers, food and materials sourced as close to the venue as we can manage.
- 05
Energy
Efficient power for the build and the event itself, including battery generators in place of diesel where possible.
- 06
Water
Keeping water use on site to what is genuinely needed.
- 07
Financial impact
Where the money for an event goes, and keeping as much of it as possible in the local economy.
