The Pantone Colour of the Year is out! Mocha Mousse is the hue of 2025 and we are very excited to have been way ahead of the curve on this one. Yes, our love of brown goes deep as the earth itself, and we're here to show you how to use it. So come, Avoid that sad beige life and groove with desert vibes of mocha in all its glory...
Can you have a brown wedding?
Why yes of course! Brown is earth, brown is the blueprint, brown is beautiful and so easy to work with. You can pair brown with so many colours and also layer it in different shades from mocha, umber, ochre to chocolate. Our advice is always to take inspiration from nature when it comes to colour palettes so for a mocha styled wedding look to the desert, the earth and the bright skies above. We did exactly this when planning our Desert Sunset shoot at Wonderland which is the perfect styling inspiration for your mocha marquee wedding.

Earthy tones and Natural styling
A natural earthy colour palette lends itself very well to some of the other top wedding trends of 2025 which are all very organic and free flowing. As quirky as nature intended! Controlled chaos and surreal elements are some of the more fun and adventurous trends to play with this year.
Free flowing florals
Its all about channeling the chaos of nature this year and allowing statement florals to be wild and free, as well as adding other elements to your styling such as fruits, nuts, grasses and having fun with it. Working with a mocha palette and this brief you could play with dried florals and grasses in browner tones, explosions of greenery and hanging clouds flowers in contrasting colours

Natural Surrealism
A 'Surreal soiree' is something everyone is wanting to create this year, and this kind of brief is close to our hearts as we've been crafting otherworldly events and festival tents for over 20 years! (Starting with original secret venue The Rabbit Hole way back when). Adding surreal elements in a natural way is easy, bring the outside in, stick with natural elements and scale them up or down and they instantly become Wonderland-esque.

Mocha draping
We have loved seeing the rise in popularity of draping and fabric installations as something we have been playing with for many years. The fluidity of draping works beautifully in earthy tones, especially in a light and airy space such as a clear span marquee such as below.

How else to use mocha in your wedding planning
You could sip it literally. Espresso martinis have long been our favourite cocktail, and it seems many of you are in agreement. Why not add a dash of chocolate to your signature drink and make it mocha inspired
